Deforestion: Typographic film

It is a typographic film made in very early stage of limited animation learning process.The aim behind this film is to incorporation of forms and typography to create effective message. Simplicity and clearance in message are key elements of this film.

Exploration in Storytelling using Mythology: "Navchakra"

The earth has its own system of balancing its environment. The cycle of balance is going on from so many years. Now this cyclic process is facing numerous problems, which are slowly affecting the whole planet and ultimately, us. There are many organizations working on environmental issues to spread this awareness. This message needs to reach to every level, so the needed changes in human behavior and habits can be motivated. In India many people are illiterate and don't have access to technology. This message needs to find it’s way to all. 

I am trying to convey this concern for the environment in a manner, which is highly accessible though simplified. For this purpose, I am working on a theme, which is close to a large part of Indian society, who can easily relate to the way it is made. 

I am using a traditional way of entertainment, education and communication to convey my thoughts about environment, which is mythology.

Project 1

Introductory Motion Graphic:

Aceagro is a big agricultural company, which has collaborative projects with the local organizations and industries. Aceagro wanted a show reel, which can describe what is their clear approach towards the sustainable environment and agricultural solutions.

Logo Design for Natural Sweeteners:

Aceagro will soon launch a new sugar substitution product - "Natural Sweeteners" in international market, which is totally organic as well as heathy.

 

Notation of life

It’s a film a short animated film on exploration of Music Sequence. Music takes form by the sequence of notation. It starts with a notation and ends with the notation, in between it shows how the nature has its different ways to create and share its natural music. I used elements of notation to create form of the nature and animals. It was like exploring music sequence by musical forms.

Ajab ki Gajab Kahani

Story :

Ajab -an ordinary thin dog was very loyal to his owner. Ajab’s owner bought a new healthy German shepherd and gave him a name Gajab-different than other. Both of them became very good friends, Gajab got good place, nice food and Ajab got place outside the door. After a few days , when Ajab is not at home, Gajab is stolen by the thief. Ajab and his owner searched Gajab a lot because he was new there and Ajab knows him very well. Ajab searched him at every place he knows at last he found him. The owner was so impressed by the Ajab’s hard work and loyality. After then Ajab and Gajab were leave happily inside the room.

Syntactics: A story board of five squantial images

Syntactics substitution: Substitute the forms or the shapes of the elements in your visual with other objects that have similar shape and form.

Semantic substitution: Substitute the meaning/ content/ information of each of your visual with thee similar images that have similar meaning or content.

Pragmatic substitution: Substitute each of your visual with another visual- by changing the mediam or method of representation.

Method of representation : Collage

Abstrction : Substitute each of your visual with its abstraction. Media : Water Color and Pencile

Logo Design, Signage and Expressive Typography

Logo design for "Design Degree Show"-"Aaroh" 

"Aaroh" the highest pitch in the music. I used devnagri script for logo which helps to form rhythmic form through its letters.

Logo design for me with my initials "S" and "B" and also logo visual for logo animation. All forms in visual are made up of four basic forms used in logo. Creating new forms in limited choices, was actual fun in the process.

Express the meaning of the word through its letters within limited parameters.

Calligraphy

My sketching always helped me to try explorations in calligraphy. Here, I tried to give feel of poem in its appearance in calligraphy. Both of them are made by etching on ink background. Etching is a unpredictable process as sometimes result are really amazing. 

Game Design

Game Design 1: Delta Attack- A Board game for 2 Players. Age 10+

Game play designed to keep players thinking and tracking others' move.

Novelty: Triangular grid board. Kill face- unique application for eliminating pone. Game will be in market soon under FUNschool production.

It is made in two versions, Royal theme and Space theme. 

Game Design 2: Word Weave

An educational board game for age group 8+,that combines vocabulary with strategy and thinking. Final game includes circular game board with hooks on the ring, colorful elastic strings and four colored alphabets thumb-pins.

Background Design

The most of the backgrounds are made for the Marathi animated songs CD for children, which is not yet released. Backgrounds are the soul of animation which creates perfect environment and specific mood.

Character design and sketches

This is a fusion of totally different subjects, Politicians in the form of Cactus. 

These characters are created for the study of simplicity in drawing related to limited animation such as flash animation which is totally different from classical animation.

I like to use charcoal for sketching, it gives nice dry texture. Powerful strokes and charcoal is nice treatment for sketching but not so easy to handle.
